The Hobsonville Point School Aquabot Team is off to Atlanta, USA to compete in the USA National Sea Perch Competition. After winning the NZ event last year the team is frantically fundraising to enable them to compete in the USA competition in May 2017.

The Hobsonville Point Farmers Market has moved locations, but don’t worry we haven’t moved too far. Our new home is in the Fabric Bay building right next door to our old spot in the Seaplane Hangar.
HLC and students from Hobsonville Point Primary thanked those involved in the design and construction of the two bridges that form part of the coastal walkway – Te Ara Manawa. Everyone enjoyed the walk along the bridges, then enjoyed a BBQ put on by the students.
It seems surreal that I’m sitting down in my office and writing the editorial for the last issue of 2016. It was around this time last year that starting a local newspaper for the residents of Hobsonville was just a thought and now here we are 12 issues later and going into a new year.
